Finished PA-18 Piper Super Cub

We restored this 1963 Piper PA-18-150 Super Cub for the Long Island Soaring Association, which they use as one of their tow planes. This airplane was pretty much like new when we finished it. New wing tip bows, some new wing ribs that needed replacing, new rib-lacing. New floorboards, and wooden stringers, control cables, interior panels, headliner, boot cowl, cowl and new glass. We collaborated with the owners on the paint scheme and colors.

This 1941 Piper J-3 Cub had been damaged when it fell off of a trailer during transport. Much welding had to be done on the fuselage because of the accident. We overhauled the original Lycoming O-145B (65HP), made new floorboards, stringers, control cables, and all new glass. This airplane was really neat because almost everything on it was original from the factory, even the wooden prop, which we had overhauled and looks great. Finished with the classic cub yellow paint job, it came out great. We recently sold this airplane, and it is now in the Tuskegee Airmen Museum.

This Schweitzer 233 came from Wurtsboro, N.Y., an airport rich in soaring history that recently came under new ownership. This glider needed to be finished under tight time constraints in order to be present and flown at the airports “Grand Re-opening” The fuselage was powder coated along with the controls and push rods. We installed new interior panels, new canopy and window glass, new nose bowl, and new skid.

This Citabria was completely restored with all new glass, floorboards, stringers, control cables and headliner. It was finished with a classic Citabria orange color.
